Get the Right Tools to Comply with Federal & State Regulations
On board any fishing vessel in Federal waters, you MUST possess and use:
- Non-stainless steel circle hooks when fishing with natural bait. Circle hooks must also be non-offset in Gulf State waters and all Atlantic waters North of 28° N. latitude
- Dehooking device
- Venting tool OR Descending device rigged and ready for use effective April 1, 2023.
These rules are for both Florida State & all Federal waters! For other states, check regulations for your state waters.
