Question:

My Unit Won't Import the Waypoints from the Card

Answer:

In the rare event that your unit doesn't import our waypoints from the card, we're here to help you. Please review the following tips before contacting support.

To ensure our files import smoothly & to troubleshoot failed data transfers, please be sure:

  1. Is the SDTM card locked? On the left side of the large SDTM adapter is a white slide lock which must be in the up position. Slide the lock down then firmly slide it back up then try to import again.
  2. Your units operating software is up to date. Many manufacturers provide software updates as a free download that allow your unit to read larger memory cards and additional file types.
  3. Your unit accepts 2GB cards. If not, you can easily transfer our data to a smaller card using your computer. If you have a handheld unit, many units require files to be transferred using a cable connected to your computer.
  4. You reviewed your operators manual on the proper procedure & menu selections to import files. If you need help with your units functions, please contact your units support line. We do not provide support on using GPS units.
  5. You ordered to correct brand files for your unit. Check your receipt which shows your brand selection and files included.

Have you tried to use compatible desktop software to open the files? Some brands require running our files through their software to prepare waypoint files for import. Visit the FAQ GPS Models section for information on your unit.

If the above tips do not help, please contact support at 239-253-6161. Be sure to have your brand & model information ready along with your receipt.
