  • Install the official Google Earth® software for Android® from the Google Play Store. Be sure to get the official Google® version.
  • Download the files to your phone and make note of where you put them - internal storage or SD card
  • Open Google Earth®
  • From the Menu select My Places
  • At the bottom click Import KML
  • Select the file from the storage you saved the files in, either internal storage or SD card external
  • Click the KML to import. Do this for each KML file.
  • All files will now be saved in Google Earth® and be available every time you open it.

Other Software

MX Mariner is a paid Android® App that can import our GPX files and if you enable GPS on your phone and in the App, you can navigate to sites the same as you would with your chartplotter. To get our file on your phone either download to your computer & copy to an SDTM card, then bring SDTM card to your phone. Or email the file to your phone as an attachment, open the email from your phone, and save it to your device from the email. You can find instructions on importing GPX files here. NOTE: You have to find the folder on your device that MX is using to store "Marks" then copy the GPX file to it, this is not an easy process. The best way is to first create a backup then once you move the GPX to the folder you will see the county file name in the backup directory. You can then hold your finger on it and restore it, this will fill up the Mark list on the app. Please do not call us for support on this, we do not know this software, we tried it and had to play with it a lot to get it installed. It seems to work OK once the waypoints are in the phone.

There are too many phone models, operating systems, and software programs for us to know the specific steps on opening and using our files on an Android®. For this reason, we do not offer support for Android®phones or software.
